Ohio has received a 3 million dollar grant from the federal government to assist universities and private colleges in responding to sexual assaults, Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine announced yesterday. As Dewine noted, the money is intended to be used help universities to develop new programs to deal with allegations and also to try to change the college culture which leads to rape. Assaults frequently involve drinking by one or both parties, and alcohol can eliminate a person’s ability to provide legal consent.
