On Monday, July 6, 2015, a Columbus man was sentenced to 2 years in prison for having sex with a foster child placed in his care. Per media accounts, Herbert C. King, Jr. pled guilty to four counts of sexual battery for having sexual relations with a 17 year old boy. A hospital examination reportedly found King’s DNA on the boy. Ohio law prohibits sex between a guardian and foster child, notwithstanding the fact that 16 is the age of consent in Ohio.
